Day 57 - 7/26
Dubois, WY to Grand Tetons NP, WY
We went out to breakfast at the Cowboy Cafe in Dubois and who did we see but Greg, his dad and one of his buddies. We joined them for a big breakfast and got some nice sightseeing tips for the Tetons.
I headed out of town just before them, battling headwinds uphill to Togwotee Pass at 9,658 feet. I hung out at the pass for quite awhile as Greg and his friend arrived. We also socialized with a group of four mountain bikers who were riding the entire continental divide from Mexico to Canada.
After that climb, we were all looking forward to the 25 mile downhill cruise to the Grand Tetons. We stopped and took pictures at the revelation of the range. It was just what I've been waiting for, and the mountains were more amazing the closer I rode.
At the entry gates Greg and I went our separate ways with plans to meet up in Yellowstone on Wednesday. I bought myself an annual pass for the National Parks and rode on to the campground. It's right on Lake Jackson with a great view of Mount Moran, but there are no showers.
