Total Raised: $5616.50

This summer I will be moving back home to Portland, Oregon after having lived in New York City for four years. This journey will be made by bicycle, covering 5,000 miles through 14 states. My goal in doing this—besides the sheer fun and adventure—is to raise $5,000 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International (JDRF) is the leading charitable benefactor and advocate of juvenile (type 1) diabetes research worldwide. Since inception, JDRF has provided more than $680 million in direct funding to diabetes research. More than 80 percent of JDRF’s expenditures directly support research and research-related education. If there is any hope of a cure, it will surely come through the efforts of this organization. Any support you can give this organization would be greatly appreciated.

Please feel free to look around this page. Once my journey is underway in late May, I hope to update this site frequently with photos and diary entries.

Thanks!
